🏏 INTRO TO UMPIRING COURSES

💻 FREE | Online | 90 minutes

A great introduction to the basics of umpiring, particularly for parents of our younger players in the U8/U9 age groups.

📅 Wednesday 23 September | 7:30–9:00pm
📅 Thursday 24 September | 7:30–9:00pm

We strongly encourage multiple parents from each team to get involved. Building umpiring knowledge across our teams helps make sure our games run smoothly and gives parents the confidence to get involved on game day.

As we lead into the 26/27 season, we are going to highlight some of the club’s greats.

‘BOZ’

A Thornleigh Cricket Club Legend. 💙💛

Ben Elliott has been a familiar face around the club for many years, progressing through the junior grades to captaining the A2s side today.

Boz has put together an outstanding career across 198 games, with over 5,000 impressive runs and counting, while edging closer to 150 dismissals behind the stumps. Ben’s time at TCC has been filled with outstanding cricket and countless memorable moments with mates.

Ben’s contribution to Thornleigh is one that deserves recognition.

We are taking a look at week 3 of the 25/26 season.

Our juniors continued to build their skills and perform spectacularly, with coaches very happy about how our teams were starting the season. Our U-15’s recorded an epic 6 victory win, chasing down a total of 121 which featured a 51* knock from Judson Freestone!

Promoted 2 grades since the previous season, our B Grade side showed that they mean business in the new division by stamping out a huge 10 wicket victory. With the opposition held to 83 from their 32 overs, it took only 6.4 overs for Ben Elliott and Josh Osborne to chase it down.

Our juniors continued to impress across the board, with the Under 10 Golds putting on a brilliant bowling display, the Under 12s securing a great win with Lily Barden unbeaten on 28*, and the Under 15s showing plenty of fight against a talented Oakhill side. A fantastic effort from all our young cricketers!
